Walkabout
The world will always seem green -- to someone.
I love it now more than ever before. The work hasn’t changed. What has changed is my outlook on the work. I no longer see it as a time-suck, swallowing up every free moment that should be spent on other projects.
This new year, more than others, I’ve been reminded what solves my problems today. It is not God that solves problems for me. It is not I who solve my own. It is my faith.
When she has a fever, she becomes the most powerful and precious and fragile item in the universe. She was born so that we could face death and hardship.
And what of those that refuse to accept defeat? I pray for them. For they are the same ones who never felt the true satisfaction of victory in the first place. And what of those who refuse to validate the defeated? Their victory is not worthy of the mundane act of asking a neighbor about the weather.
If it’s true that the closer we get, the further we want to be, maybe it’s also true that the closer we get, the less we take for granted.
